Produced with anodized aluminum or Engraved stainless steel. for aluminum plates the image is embedded in the anodic layer of the aluminum and then sealed in, producing a very rugged product that will hold up to the harshest conditions. One method of this process is used on the International Space Station for its excellent durability and Ultra violet resistance.
Stainless steel plates are used for marking airframe and engines and pertinent data required by FAA to withstand fire or crash and are engraved or stamped into the plate.
